Police suspect a woman was shot three times in the face is connected to mafia warfare.
Annamaria Palmieri, 54, was working for the mafia according to reports. She has had prior convictions stemming from stolen goods, criminal association, and drugs, according to Italian reports.
The shooting took place in San Giovanni a Teduccio, which happens to be an area where parents struggle to keep their children out of reach from mafia connections. It's a poor area of Naples, and parents are in a constant battle to prevent children from being lured into Camorra crimes.
Women seem to play a big role for the mafia once their husbands are incarcerated. They tend to be the only connection to the outside gang.
