Yellow Blossom.
Strikes a chord of Happiness.
In my heart. A heart growing in gratitude.
For friends and family. Nature. My existance on Earth. ~Ally.
Yesterday was such a Beautiful Day for me here in Sydney.
It was the day when the stars conspired to bring me into this earthly world, so many earth years ago. A day filled with so many magical moments. I'd like to share just one of them for now as it illustrates something more about 'waiting.'
On my early morning walk, I met a cat: Sitting quietly on a stone fence. Her tortoice shell marking were muted. Fur, soft and very fluffy. And her eyes were the brightest emerald green.
I held out my hand to her and she invited me to sit beside her. She like the attention for a while and then jumped down. Softly purring to my feet: It was time to go.
She walked with me for a while. Unsure of her boundary, she gradually came to a stop. I was going to come back a different way but returned to see her again. She was waiting. Most likely not for me, but she showed me what it is to simply wait: With presence. Watching what happens in life all around. Within that boundary.
Rumi tells us that patience is more than simply waiting and gives us some poetic examples of 'foreseeing.' A special surprise awaits the person who can give the best example of this 'forseeing' ~ From their own experience, impressions or insight from Nature's Beauty.
Patience is not sitting and waiting, it is foreseeing.
It is looking at the thorn and seeing the rose.
Looking at the night and seeing the day.
Moon needs time to become full.
