Several years before I even started playing Magic: The Gathering, there was a block of set releases based on Japanese mythology gone awry. I have accumulated some cards from those days through assorted trades and collection acquisitions, but it was never a big thing for me, personally.
I have played against people who still had their decks from that era, though, and they exploited some of its interesting mechanics and cards. Not all those mechanics and cards became fan favorites, though. As with many such sets, experimental ideas were tried, and then quietly set aside.
This new set is apparently 1200 years after the time of the original block, and promotional art seems to depict a cyberpunk neon aesthetic. The cards themselves are less fluorescent, but there are artistic elements blending fantasy, Japanese art, and neon elements to good effect. I don't hate the look. There are also artifact vehicles like that Futurist Sentinel. Samurai mech combat? Neat!

I got an alternate art Peerless Samurai. That's a little bit cool, I guess. I have no idea whether there's long-term collector interest in alt art commons though. The Era of Enlightenment saga also has nice art and potential for utility in a deck which includes white.

Reito Sentinel may find a place in my mill deck for Commander when I rebuild it.
Inventive Iteration looks like it could be quite useful in a blue control deck.
Thornwood falls has been printed frequently, but it's a solid dual land despite entering tapped thanks to the life gain.
I don't think any of these have a high market value, but this was a fun pack nonetheless. What do you think of the cards I didn't mention?
