Formal Governance
Thank you all for joining the formal governance meeting. We have 9 participants on the call today.
This part of the meeting will be recorded and is meant to simulates on-chain proposals. Proposals need to be clearly stated, debated, and generally agreed to prior to the meeting. Once a proposal has gone through these three checks it can be brought up in the formal governance meeting for finalization. Proposals should be posted to forum.makerdao.com and can also be discussed in #proposal-discuss on Rocket Chat
Upon conclusion of the formal portion of the meeting, further topics will be discussed and debated.
Expanded Role for OnChain Consulting (approved)
Dev Update:
Maker Core
- fixed a test coverage issue that was hiding a lot of test failures
- repaired a lot of hidden breakage caused by recent CDP engine changes
- finished the implementation of the auction-based settler component
- made it so the feature tests can run against the real token auctions
- [WIP] getting liquidation tests to pass with the real auction contracts
- collapsed lock/free/issue/cover into one operation (called "adjust")
- removed the indirection layer for paid price feeds (Feedbase)
- some other minor simplifications and refactorings of the CDP engine
- added warning to prevent tests from silently failing in the future
- continued work on fleshing out the user interface for CDP issuers
- wasted a lot of time debugging an obscure Solidity compiler crash
- fixed a minor incompatibility between Dapple and Solidity 0.4.6
- [WIP] merging maker-core and maker-model into a single repository
- created a tool called "ethrun" for directly running EVM bytecode
- created a simple version of a Parity-based dapple-test replacement
- split Dapple's test helpers out into a separate repository ds-test
Maker Market
- URL routing
- Fixed a few UI bugs
- Started integration with GNT wrapper
- Started work on charts
Token Auction / Weekly MKR Auction (UI)
- No update
Simple Stable Coin
- Is in a pretty advanced state, some minor issues; but most functionality to create a read-only view is there. Go test it out on Ropsten (with MetaMask)!
- Connected to the same contract as simplecoin branch
simplecoin/35-36-38-39-issues - For further updates it is blocking / depending on a PR to simplecoin itself and a new contract deployment.
Maker-core roadmapping
- Mariano & Gonzalo: Updating Simple Coin & Feedbase contracts to Dapple 0.8 & Solidity 0.4.x. Couple deployment issues resolved with the help of the Nexus team.
