The recent surge in STEEM price must seem like a late Christmas present to Steemians, but I think the people who will have the most to celebrate are those that have quietly contributed high quality posts without much recognition. Why?
Because as I see it, all that glitter is not gold and even though the price of Steem will continue to climb and fall, the people who have come here looking for a community that fosters and supports people of all diversity and creativity will not be affected by this at all.
The people who have earned their SP and SBD through producing quality content, helping other fellow steemians and just being a good citizen of the world will continue to flourish whether the STEEM price rockets up to $100k or falls back to $1. Of course, we would like to see them rewarded financially the same way that other people who invested in the platform (because they are the other half of the equation that make this possible), but on the flip side they won't be the ones losing sleep over what the price of STEEM is going to be tomorrow, or the day after that, and the day after that.
So I want to congratulate all the people who have continued to believe in the great people that make this community great. For keeping the faith and helping to add value to the ecosystem when others are more interesting in siphoning it away. You have earned every SP and SBD the hard way, the most rewarding way and the most noble way!
We are in awe of your sweat and tears, your triumphs and failures, and we will continue to support you because all that evaporates is not STEEM - the people is what makes this community so precious.
