Everton boss Farhad Moshiri's comments at the club's general meeting at the start of the weekend sparked controversy. His remarks have made Manchester United star Romelu Lukaku upset and sad.
Moshiri on that occasion alluded to the matter of my Lukaku transfer. He claimed to have almost extended the Belgian player's contract before it was canceled because of an absurdity.
In his speech, Moshiri revealed Everton gave a promising contract to Lukaku and he was very interested to continue the project with The Toffees. However, in just a moment everything turns.
Lukaku got a call from his mother before making a decision. And suddenly he claimed to have gained a 'magical whisper' that asked him to join Chelsea.
"In a meeting on contracts, Lukaku said he should contact his African mother, who admitted to having received a whisper to move to Chelse," Moshiri was quoted as saying by The Sun.
The strange, after refusing Everton, Lukaku also ultimately also did not join Chelsea. He chose Manchester United who are willing to redeem of 90 million pounds.
Hearing a speech from Moshiri, Lukaku was offended. He is angry and sad to be accused of believing in mysticism and shamanism. In fact, 24-year attacker is a devout Catholic.
