"Imagination is a weapon. Those who don't use it die first" - Goblin Slayer
Monthly released, currently 17 episodes translated. Based on the light novel with the same name.
Goblin Slayer is one of those stories with a lot of potential. I'll talk about how I got in love with this manga.
I'm the kind of person who loves brutal but realistic things. It's not like I don't enjoy love comedies, intellectual stories and the such, but, the ones I greatly enjoy are those who show you how the world can be merciless and apathetic. I like original things, stuff that are not as used as other stories. Then I came up with Goblin Slayer by simple coincidence.
The first time I started reading it seemed cute and I even felt somewhat relaxed.
But oh boy, I was wrong!
Goblin Slayer's story begins with a naive new adventure who has the role of a priest. She enters the guild of adventures in order to become one. She then gets an offer from a group of adventures to deal with a nest of goblins. Incapable of saying no, she accepts, feeling uneasy about it. The group goes to such nest filled with confidence. After all, goblins are the "weakest" enemies they could ever confront. It is well known that they have the tenacity of a beast, but the intelligence of a small child. To not spoil you, lets say that things don't go as they planned. Luckily, the Goblin Slayer comes to help.
If you like stories that are developed on a very realistic way, this manga is for you! The characters are good and have their own essence, the story is interesting, the action is amazing and there are several little details that make this story one of the best I've ever read.
I have to warn you though! This manga is rated +18, filled with several gore and mature scenes! If you are okay with this, please, give it a try and comment your opinion! At least, read 2 or 3 episodes, you won't regret it ↀᴥↀ
