We are pleased to announce that one of the Co-Founders of Manna, Eric Stetson, was added to the speaking roster at NABIG in Hamilton, Ontario later this month.
The Congress is a gathering to focus upon a couple different topics.
The converging paths leading to basic income (e.g., health, human rights, automation, sustainability, democracy, etc.)
Making basic income a reality, through pilots, policy, and public support
While Manna is already making basic income a reality for the 80,000 people who are presently receiving the token each week, we realize that more effort is needed in this area. A gathering like this tends to really raise awareness among different groups with influence.
The Basic Income Canada Network (BICN) is a voluntary, non-profit, non-partisan organization promoting informed, constructive public dialogue leading to a basic income guarantee in Canada.

We are proud that Eric was invited to take part to share what is going on with Manna. In our view, any conversation without the mention of Manna is lacking. Manna is the first truly global universal basic income project that is given to anyone upon verification of being a unique human being.
This the message we are looking to spread. More people are involved in regular distribution of Manna than every other UBI trial out there. No other program distributed to 78,000 people like Manna did on Thursday.
