My apologies if I seemed to lose track of time; I want to convey that singing and playing this song posed quite a challenge. Over the past few days, I endeavored to capture it just as I had envisioned. In my attempt, I even added harmonies to complement the melody, although it wasn't always straightforward.

I'm Hive account@samuelstifen and I'm happy to be given the opportunity to choose the theme for week 194. I'm very happy and grateful for being given the opportunity to choose the theme at the end of this week. and I also apologize that in week 193 I did not give a performance in this community, because I had a lot of music practice activities at church to prepare for Christmas and not just music practice, I also took part in choir activities at church for Christmas on the 25th yesterday. To finish this rounds of the Hive Music Festival, for its 63rd week, I have brought a anonymous song. It's one of the many Venezuelan Aguinaldos that are dedicated to the birth of Jesus and the whole mystique of the child Christ. Its beautiful and simple melody is quite catching.

There are many versions of this song. One I have listened to a lot is an instrumental arrangement by the group El Cuarteto. But something resembling the one I'm playing here is the one sung by Serenata Guayanesa and Gualberto Ibarreto.

The first time I remember it was a lot of emotion, the loud music and the play of lights made my eyes look attentively and I felt my heart swell with joy, I had never seen anything like it.

Today this great show has become part of the tradition that I have formed in recent years, especially enjoying it with my mother.

That day, which I remember coincidentally was a Wednesday, if my memory serves me correctly, I was doing some personal business in the city of Pinar del Río with my father. But my cousin had shared with us in the WhatsApp group, which we hivers of Vueltaabajo have, an invitation to participate in this peña that would be held at the cultural center Hermanos Loynás. Some hivers that I had not yet had the pleasure of knowing personally would attend, so I could not miss this opportunity for anything.

Many memories come to my head every time I sing it, because it generates a lot of emotion in me, even on several occasions friends have asked me for this song and I have sung it with great enthusiasm, the truth is a song a little complicated because of its tonal changes going from low to high tones for a man's voice so I love this song.
