Have you watched the movie "The Experiment"? I think that could teach you a lot about what I was trying to say through my comment, in no case make me look a certain way as you said. And guess what, if you look at "part 2" from this person's post you can actually see that a CHILD is being tided up to a pole. So my concern about the "victims" doing this further was totally justified.
Another thing, there was no need to strip the man, and humiliate him (could have kept his pants on as as you can see it's snowed, probably minus temperature, and I'll not even talk about having the flag put "up there", or have his (srry for talking about this) private parts affected by the cold. Not even tie the pole, because if it really was a conflict zone it was like signing his death penalty, as he couldn't free himself in case of an air strike. Pretty barbaric. If you think this is okay and your background and area that you lived in make you believe this is okay, then I'm sorry for you but it's you that is in the wrong spot, not that I'm being sheltered in a bubble.
This kind of public shaming can actually create a criminal that you talk about because after such an experience the man probably will not feel like wanting to reintegrate in such a society. Not to talk about the child.
Guess what, nether me or you know what was the gravity of the robbery, and we can only imagine. But I'm sure the kid didn't steal for fun, he was probably hungry, maybe the man tried to feed his family, who knows? Either way, again I feel sorry for you, it's not even your fault for seeing things this way. You'll share a tear when that will happen, I'll share a smile with you when you'll be the one to understand.
