The main thing people care on other social networks is... "Why are they choosing to interact there", and usually that's because where their other ones are... kind of, "if everyone uses this, there must be a reason for it". AND that's partly ok.
But what they miss or forget is... "at what cost"... given privacy is not even theirs, and instead people mostly get their information monetised for the host of that platform.
But obviously, this is not something easy to "simplistically" prove to that public. Hence how hard is for something like that to be as popular as X.
I still believe one day the momentum will come.
