Hi friends, this is my #MarketFriday post, which is sponsored by the lovely and caring . If you're not familiar, be sure to check it out. Anyone can participate and there are people sharing posts about where the shop and what markets look like all over the world!
I visited this adorable little store on my bike ride last weekend. It is very old, and has been there since 1895. It very tiny.
The outside was charmingly decorated with pumpkins and some fall decor.
Is there anything cuter than a neat row of pumpkins sitting in the sunshine?
The store has patios on both sides, with little iron tables and umbrellas. Do you see the old Grocery sign?
On the other side, there's an old water pump and a dish of water for dogs.
And they had a little bucket of toys on the sidewalk for kids.
Let's go inside!
There were two employees working there - teenagers. They told me that the place had been there since 1895 and seemed to take pride in that. I didn't get much else in the way of history. But they didn't mind me taking pictures.
They had one of those ice cream freezer chests that takes me right back to childhood! How I craved an ice cream bar when I used to see those in a little store.
There is some cool lake decor on the walls.
Don't you wonder how they stay in business? I'm tempted to go out of my way to go shop there to help support the local economy.
They even sell clothes!
Well that's it for my Market Friday post. Thank you for visiting!
