Market Friday the Farmers Market in Dag Hammarskjold Plaza

This is the one tag and daily challenge that I always make a point of joining, and also look through the posts of others that join the challenge and seeing markets from all around the world.

For this weeks post, I am going to do something unusual for me and share shots of an actual Market, a Farmers Market in this case, the one held each Wednesday morning in Dag Hammarskjold Plaza.
Its a very popular market and draws a big crowd so I often avoid going there later int he day most times when I see it is before heading to the office when the vendors are just setting up, but for this weeks post I took a quick walk by around 11:10 on the way to lunch to get some shots

Now I do not know if this is common at mant Famers Markets these days but i have only noticed it at this one, a Compost collection spot, where peopel can drop off food scraps and such to be put to good use, they seem to get alot brough in as they have quite a few bins filled with scraps

This vendor was selling a good selection of fruit and vegetables, they all look so fresh, I didn't buy any as keeping them in the office for the rest of the day and then to have to carry them home on the train just doesn't seem a good idea to me, I would rather buy from a local market where I live and get them home and in the fridge quicker

Now I had to get and share a shot of this vendor, who comes in regularly for this market from Connecticut not too far from where I live

Now I am not sure if this dog was visiting the farmer smarket, or just enjoying some time outdoors but i had to include this shot of him in this post as he was pretty cute.
