Have you seen it yet?
It's interesting to see my two different social media feeds today when it comes to the viral #gilletad
FACEBOOK LOVES IT
On Facebook, I see all sorts of people sharing and loving this ad, because it's "woke".
TWITTER HATES IT
Well, not quite, but it's there that I actually heard about it, because apparently some people got offended by it. Hm. Really?
ME, I'M THINKING "GREAT MARKETING TECHNIQUE!"
If you want everyone to talk about you, do something controversial that splits people into two camps. So much so, that they get very opinionated and vocal about it.
I don't really feel anything when I see this ad, because in the end, it's avertisement for a razor... I don't really get the feeling that Gilette seriously wants to change the world, all they want is to get eyeballs on their product, and increase their bottom line.
They are still a corporate company, and it would be interesting to see what the happiness level is within their organisation, for both women and men.
Also, I like this response... ;)
