Why would you want to keep your believer?
• Referral- We all know that once you provide bad service to a customer its most likely they will tell their friends about you thereby negating your brand, but if the reverse is the case then you are most likely to get referrals from that customer because everybody has a circle of friends and after you have had a bad rap with one of them I don’t think any of them would like to try out your service.
• People talk- I talk, you talk we all talk to one person or another now some people are able to convince other to test a new product more often than not so if I went to Lagos and I heard that sans serif was good for pimples, then to Abuja, I heard the same thing, in Benue also I heard the same thing, and I have a pimple problem, what do you think I’d do?(no brainer!) .
• Brand- It is a deep rooted feeling in our hearts that we all want our brands to grow (who doesn’t?). So once you provide impeccable services to your clients, great customer service becomes synonymous with your brand and that’s a good thing because customers would rather prefer to do business with you than with your competitor.
How to keep your believer
Always try to see things from their point of view don’t go barraging down on a customer all because they said something you didn’t like always try to be friendly and calm when dealing with a customer.
Don’t over-promise because over promising can lead to under
performance and you don’t your brand to be associated with disappointment so always try to be conservative in your dealings. A particularly good strategy is under-promising and over-delivering.
“Anything worth doing is worth doing well” this adage says it all always try to give your best to a customer; don’t let your brand slip into mediocrity.
Be genuine because that’s the only way you are going to build trust, If you can’t complete a project in time let your customer know, if you can’t execute a project let your customer know, they will appreciate you for it and see you as a trustworthy person which is sure to help your brand image.
Offer specials and discounts as rewards to your customers this will give them a feeling of importance and they will keep coming back for more (if you did all this I would).
