Well, even though Moraes signed his bout agreement, Jimmie Rivera shot it down this past Monday on The MMA Hour. Rivera said he was going to take some time off and enjoy the honeymoon he has pushed back with his wife. There was some back and forth issues about weight when the short notice challenge came during the UFC 219 debacle, but Rivera seemed to think any form of trash talk is coming from Moraes's manager, not Moraes.
Meanwhile, Aljamain Sterling is sitting out a suspension due to his very bad KO loss to Moraes. Although he hopes to be back in action by April, the bantamweight division might be a little bit more shuffled by the time he returns. I still think Dillashaw might be facing either Moraes or Rivera by summer time. How about you guys?
