Did you know every anniversary has a name that is associated with a traditional gift? For example, the first anniversary is the paper anniversary. Second is cotton. Thirteenth is lace. Fifteenth is crystal. But guess what? At sixteen that stops! Maybe in the old days eveyone was dead by their 16th wedding anniversary. 😄 Named anniversaries don’t kick in again until 20. Who knew?
Anyway, 16 years is some time! I am not going to get all sappy or serious but milestones are good to celebrate. Even if the celebrations are tiny. 🎉
Today is a drizzly and gray. Plus, hubs is feeling under the weather. (I feel like I might be catching something too.) So celebrations are subdued. ☺️ Hubs is hoping to pep up enough to get some dinner out later.
So while he naps, I am going to celebrate our anniversary by posting a favorite picture of us. It is a ridiculous photo, and it always makes me laugh. 😄
