Well this is the beginning module of five.
I keep saying I need to do a video series on this.
And I'm definitely going to need some more power and capability to do that.
However I know that other people can do it so I need to start looking into video editing as well as posting here.
Dtube apparently it doesn't like me or my dog so I just guess we're going to continue working on alternatives.
However that's not going to stop nearly 25 years of training or is it 25....
Yep some pretty crazy amounts of time when you can't remember if it's 24 or 25 or maybe it's 26.
Sheesh it was a long time ago that some guy jumps over a fence and tells me I'm doing it wrong and then shows me how I'm doing it wrong.
Well humble beginnings and working on my own skills only validates that originally certification that I really should have worked harder on keeping.
Such an amazing time. And even more phenomenal times to come especially when I've gotten a chance to train with some amazing people and now I'm 80% into certification for this art.
Super excited. And I'll definitely continue plugging away and just showing up to class.
Prettiest astounded that the 28th of January 2022 I passed module 4.
And now everything starts all over again.
Well in my last post here is some explanation.
Old style versus new style.
The old style was the original jungle fighting style developed in world War II with ongoing combat. The lack of ammunition resulted in the blade being a much preferred weapon due to its unlimited capacity for violence.
When people would run out or be reloading the blade was exceptional.
Old style is jungle fighting and close quarters protection.
This next set is a different design and setup as well as deflections for defense.
And then of course a speed as well as intensity are starting to get wrapped up to simulate combatic conditions.
New style would be everything I just completed in modules 1 through 4 with the breakdown of techniques very specific.
So basically everything you see in the above picture. These are individual techniques and none of this really applies to the old style that I'm going to get introduced to.
In this art there is What's called the Masters fan and each blade of the fan is a different amount of learning.
I'm not sure if I'm going to get a fan or just a diploma or one or the other.
In fact I actually trained more for just skills then I actually trained for any to be recognized or to line up a bunch of accomplishments.
I actually got told a few times that I was a very talented student when I only passionately continued doing as best I could.
