Pirotecnia Peñaroja was shooting this classic Mascleta at Valencia's gunpowder cathedral (the cage) right in the center of the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
This pyro company set up an incredible show with whistles and rhythmic explosions on the ground and in the air, producing beautiful smoke clouds drifting in front of the midday sun.
I have to apologize for the focusing issues I had - my camera had a hard time focusing when it got too smoky but from today on I will set the focus to manual. So it won't happen again!
