Our go-to location for watching the Mascleta has always been the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. Occasionally, we indulge in a little extravagance and pay to view one or two from the balconies. However, the prices were exorbitant this year, so we looked for other options to witness this unique spectacle.
We came across this rooftop only a few blocks away from the main city square, offering a perfect view of the city hall and the post office building. We knew we had found an excellent spot.
On the day we visited, the wind was blowing fiercely, and we even feared that the firework might get canceled. However, the wind only added to the drama of the Mascleta. It was awe-inspiring to witness how the gunpowder clouds transformed as soon as they exploded. We were treated to a breathtaking view of the Mascleta by Pirotecnia Lluch.
