If you are fan of the mechanical watch, then surely you must be a fan of the chronograph. To me it is the most utilitarian of mechanical watches. However, there are so many chronographs at so many price points. One of the most famous ones is the Omega Speedmaster Professional ($5,000), and then one can go as high as Patek Philippe 5170P ($90,000 +). Add to that a tourbillon, or ceramic or titanium and you can head to the $1,000,000 richard mille. However, the basic differences are explained very well in this video from Watchfinder. Its the movement, brand prestige, and finishing that truly separate an OMEGA SMP from a Patek Philippe 5170P.
