Today I want to tell you about the amazing properties of Povidone-iodine. I bought a bottle for around $4. It contains 30ml of solution. Each ml contains 100mg of Povidone-iodine (POV-I).
It was discovered 62 years ago by Industrial Toxicology Laboratories in Philadelphia by H. A. Shelanski and M. V. Shelanski.
There are several reasons why POV-I is a powerful substance. First, bacteria do not develop resistance to it.
Bacteria:
It kills eukaryotic or prokaryotic cells through iodination of lipids and oxidation of cytoplasmic and membrane compounds. I got that from Wikipedia (like all info and pics) and it basically means that any bacteria just dies after getting in contact with this little miracle.
Second, what many people do not now is that POV-I is also good against fungi, molds, protozoa, viruses such as HIV and Herpes as well as yeasts.

People with hyperthyroidism (and other diseases of the thyroid), dermatitis herpertiformis and people who got treated with radioiodine have to be careful as it can be toxic in these cases.
It is on the list of the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines.
You can also do a mouthwash with it. It should be applied every 4 hours to prevent re-growth of the diseases. The time it needs to be effective is only 30 seconds. Theoretically you could wash it off after that time.
