Soul Retrieval
Hello My Steem Family!
This may be a bit too deep for some folks, so bear that in mind if you wish to read further. This is actually a topic I have been contemplating for myself lately, so it also comes in line with my own self awareness.
Sometimes life can take a funny turn and we may not be who we thought we wanted to be or who we thought we were. Maybe we have allowed bitterness or harshness to become a part of our personality, or lost a part of our sense of humor. It can get a bit deeper and we may feel we are downright hard on life, or don't even realize that some of these negative traits have taken over. Well, this reading is for those that would like to get that back.
All of my readings are geared towards a healing; breaking through mental, spiritual, or emotional blocks that will assist us in overcoming every day obstacles.
If this is your first time swinging by, my Medicine Card Monday initiative is my positive intention to pull a card of healing or medicine for the community. This is different than tarot in that the cards I use are on the medicinal aspect of humanity other than the most common cards found in a tarot deck.
The decks I use are The Wild Unknown - Animal Spirit, Mystical Shaman Oracle, and the Chakra Wisdom Oracle. The cards will assist in helping those interested, find comfort in things going on in our community and the world we are now dealing with. Namely, issues around the world, astronomical, or overcoming health issues of all sorts, etc., maybe just something out of balance that we are feeling on any particular day that needs guidance.
By pulling a card for Steemit this will in turn assist with my Medicine training, give back to the community, and help those seeking answers. I will take some of the reading from guidebooks provided with the cards, but primarily give intuitive and medicinal words to help our community. We all have days when we need encouragement, inspiration, and comfort.
The card I picked for the week of June 11, 2018, is as follows:
The Card
Starting in a sacred space with a clear mind and body I pulled Number 49 the Soul Retrieval card for the Steemit community from Mystical Shaman Oracle deck by Alberto Villoldo, Collet Baron-Reed, and marcela Lobos.
The Reading
Let me begin by saying that some people would like to tie this into a shamanic experience, and as you may know by now I do not prescribe to that way of teaching. I've said it enough in other blogs that I do not feel I need to repeat my feelings about that form of teaching.
What I will share is the way to reconnect with a part of our self that need to be reconnected. One thing that is interesting about this aspect of who we are is that we never lost it to begin with. If anything, it was just placed in the background so we could grow and learn other aspects of who we are. This may seem like a very simple explanation, but most things are very simple but our human brain makes it much more difficult that it needs to be.
So how do we reconnect ...
The Essence
Soul retrieval is a practice that helps you recover a part of your self -- your energy, your enthusiasm, or your innocence -- that you have lost. At first, we'll use soul retrieval to recover from our hurts and heal our childhood wounds. Later, we learn to journey to recover our original nature -- that self that never left the Garden of Eden, who still speaks to the rivers, to the trees, and to God. When we return to Eden, we are whole again.
The Invitation
You are no longer fragmented; you are one with Creation. You have healed the cause of the pain you feel, so you do not need to dwell on it any loner. Really, it's true! If you are still hovering over an old wound, find a new flight path. Don't be distracted with the little stuff you've already mastered. Go for the big one, the journey back to Eden.
The Medicine
When did you compromise what you truly believed in to be loved or accepted by someone? Think back over your life and find the time or times when this happened. Vow never to compromise your integrity again. What have you agreed to in the name of love that you know is deeply wrong? Make it right this instant.
Do we perhaps see others and want to follow their lead on Steemit as if we are back in high school? Do we find ourselves doing things that might not exactly vibrate with our soul whispers? What about writing things we do not believe to be true or follow the lead of someone for big upvotes or recognition?
Now is the time to get back to who we truly are and listen to what our soul has been telling us. If you have not been listening to your soul or have no idea what I am even suggesting here, then go to a quite place and meditate. Find your center and listen to that voice from within, what did it say ...
More often then not, that voice is guiding us to live truth and light. Bring the parts of your soul back to your center and reunite what you have kept hidden in the shadows. Peace.
