I realize this is not totally relevant, but touches on neuroscience. Would be interested to hear any thoughts.
There's plenty of research on the benefits of exercise and meditation on the mind, but little on how much of this is optimal for cognitive performance.
You see many people spending like 3 hours a day meditating and then more time exercising, to the point that surely it's counter-productive for goal achievement. There is a point when the opportunity cost of that time (spending the time actually working towards your goals rather than preparing yourself to work towards them) becomes higher than the benefit. I'm trying to work out when that point is. Does anyone have insight or experience to share on this? And any studies/articles that discuss it? I realize it's difficult to measure, hence there is hardly any research on it - from what I see.
Also, I realize it will vary from person to person.
