I've been meditating on and off for about 2 years but regularly since January. For me, it helps me feel centered, and it gives me a bit of time every day to just get away from my hectic workday. I'm not religious but I do feel very drawn to the practices and beliefs of Buddhism. And from a non religious way having a daily ritual is something I look forward too. Lately I sit down about 20 minutes before my group zoom meditation and read from a buddhist book - highly recommend the works of Pema Chodron - and read for a bit to get me in the reflective headspace
