It was a fun-filled basketball event. I'm getting excited as to what the future of this activity is heading to. Yesteday's event was a blast! Glad we had 11 Steemians joining and some was not able to come due to some personal and school related matters.

We had a lot of fun and it excites me to see a lot of Steemians joining next week. Yesterday was also the recollection of graduating Students of the College of Engineering where most of them are Steemians. Most of them are excited to join next Sunday's basketball meet-up.

How Did I Came Up With the Event.

It is with the idea of me and Hive account@loydjayme when I was setting up my personal PC. We had a little chitchat regarding my conducting future activities for Cebu Steemians. Being one of the leads of Cebu, I then realized we need more activities to reach out people and encouraging them to join Steemit. I then found a new idea how to spread the platform easily :

By conducting recreational and sports activities that makes them join. Steemians or not, it doesn't matter and anyone can join. I am shouldering the fees for the venue rental and the place is so much good. It is indeed a perfect place to for Basketball Recreation.

Thinking Ahead about the Future of Weekly Basketball Meetup

Philippines is a basketball crazy nation. It's like a religion here in our country. The moment I saw how eager the participants are joining the Basketball meetup and knowing a lot of 5th year Students hooked up to basketball, I realized how the future of this event will affect Cebu Steemians. With their commitment to help, I am aiming to make these as soon as possible :

• Weekly Cebu Basketball Meetup (Every Sunday, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon) at Bayswater, Agus, Lapu-Lapu City.

I'll do my best to reserve the venue every Sunday, so we do not have to worry about the venue of the game. If there are any suggestions as to where will our next venue is, it's very much welcome.

• Printing our own Steemit Basketball Jersey

Yes, a couple of Jersey designs will be submitted this Wednesday to be decided as to what will be the design of the shirt. We decided it will be a two-way jersey. Blue and White, so opposing teams will have different jersey. It will still be in one shirt, with white inside and blue outside.

• Cebu Steemians Basketball League

This will happen in due time. Hive account@melsmacan has been committed to help me organize the league. With the hope of this will be Steem funded activity, Steem will be big changer to our lives.
