Steemph.Iligan 1st Meetup

Finally, Iligan Steemians conducted our first ever meetup. 3 days ago, I contacted Hive account@asbonclz to have our first meetup for Hive account@steemph.iligan and received a positive response, within just a few hours the meetup was set to this date October 10, 2017 at the unpopular place which is not known to Filipinos, Jollibee!!

There were 15 attendees of the meetup and only 7 of us have the account. Majority of them are all students of MSU-IIT and for those who do not know about the university, its a famous in the region. Students in this school are regarded as highly intellectual and I was bit doubtful and ashamed to face them because I know these people are intelligent and has huge brains. Their nurturing gives them a good potential of becoming somebody in the platform.

As usual, the meetup was informal. I like it that way to avoid any discomfort. I want everybody to feel good and comfortable including me. The meetup was more on the orientation part. Since lots of them doesn't have accounts yet, we introduce to them the importance of Steemit and its possibilities to change lives.

A common questions coming from different direction which intention was to be familiarize about the platform. After giving orientation, we also gave them few tips and how to be rewarded and also discuss few do's and dont's.

Hopefully, the meetup will be the starting point of Hive account@steemph.iligan. We will be establishing its core team in a few days and hopefully come up with a better ideas and suggestions on how to spread Steemit in the city. We are still in the process of getting to know each other and in the next few days, we will get there.
