One Week Became Three
It's been a hell of a few weeks around here. About three weeks ago, life started unraveling. I really try to keep on top of things, to tie down loose ends before they get outta control. But sometimes I get tangled up in the fray of the unraveling. It was three weeks of one-problem-solved, two-problems-surface.
But everything's been smoothed out and I'm back, with lots to write about!
Dandelion Fritters
Well, I really wanted to get out of the house today. Maybe do some geocaching or gardening. But it was raining. So getting outside was a no-go.
So, instead, and I went and got my Gram and went to hang with my brother. It was just about lunch time, so while Bro heated some oil and got the dip and dredge set up, I was elected to go out into the rain and fill a cup with dandelion flowers. I think the neighbors thought I was weeding the yard in the rain. Did I mention it was raining?
These things are d-lish!
Ozark Meetup
I've been looking forward to the 2nd Ozark Meetup for a couple months. I'm so glad I made it!
I had the opportunity to visit with and get to know him a little bit. This guy is exactally who you'd expect him to be. He puts off anxiety-neutralizing, peaceful vibs. If you aren't following him, you should be. His blog offers insight on everyday life, and his engagement with commenters is genuine. His posts often leave me examining my own thoughts about life's good, bad and ugly. Like his posts, my conversation with
was thought provoking and left me with ideas and things to think over.
I also got to meet and his fantastic, happy daughter. I didn't have nearly enough time to pick Derek's brain. I'm absolutely intrigued by what's going on over on his blog. He's homesteader and a deep thinking, intellegent guy, connecting many of the dots we all see, but can't put together.
I think there are some authentic friendships in the making. If you missed it, WE MISSED YOU! has started an Ozark Steemit Events Discord group that's already picking up chatter of a potential meetup at the Baker Creek Planting Festival.
