First Steemit Meetup in Aachen

Dear friends and followers,

yesterday I attended the first Steemit-Meetup in Aachen. The event was hosted (and perfectly organized) by Hive account@detlev, who also offered us his office.

I know Hive account@detlev from Steemfest², where he did a great talk about his #beersaturday challenge and even organized a beer ralley, that took us to some fine drinking-venues in Lisbon.

Besides Hive account@detlev and me (Hive account@shortcut), there were six more users at the meetup:

Hive account@arcange - a witness from Belgium, who also developed SteemSQL, SteemitBoard, Steem.NET and SteemToolbar
Hive account@asperger-kids - a digital nomad and writer, who also creates wonderful dolls and figures
Hive account@neuewegegehen - a new user, who wants to find and go new paths and share the process with her readers
Hive account@ooschmann - a workmate of Hive account@detlev, who is also into electrical engineering and informatics
Hive account@cryptonik - a web developer, who currently lives in New Zealand and is also into Philosophy, Guitar-playing and Free Speech
Hive account@jedigeiss - an IT manger and musician, who is the brain and marketer behind the first MMORP on the Steem blockchain called Steempunk.net

Here is Hive account@jedigeiss giving us a very interesting talk about Steempunk.net and the ideas behind it. We were also looking at some useful tools like Steemworld.org, Steemreports.com and SteemitBoard.

Then there were some special guests, that Hive account@asperger-kids brought to the meeting. Those are all hand-made models of a Steem-mascot called "Roby", she crafted after seeing one of my sketches.

To my greatest surprise and joy, Hive account@asperger-kids gave me the first two Roby figures as a gift. I felt so lucky and blessed. Thank you again! That really made my day :-)

It was way time to drink one of the fine Belgian beers, that Hive account@detlev has bought for all of us, payed with the rewards of the Meetup-announcement posts.
