When it comes to emotions, I think words fail the most. Especially when the emotions are so intense that words don't work and you don't know how to put them into words. Most of the time we don't know or have never learned how to write, how to communicate, how we really feel.
The language and vocabulary will not let you down, but the experience of some memories, or the intensity of our loneliness, our proximity to memory, is so profound that it cannot be put into words.
The silence of memory is too loud, sometimes unbearable. Such feelings are often accompanied by feelings of hopelessness and a desire to relive that special time. Even if you have happy memories of the past, you still feel sad.
How can you put into words what you felt? It's like asking a blind person to imagine colors. Efforts are in vain. However, we are still doing our best to hope that our readers/listeners have the same or similar experience as you. The closest we come to sharing another's pain and joy is when we understand. But it's not the same. Not at all. In this dualistic world, neither is it the other way around.
Putting yourself on equal footing with someone often helps you understand them better. We can understand their point of view, and perhaps their feelings...but we cannot match their level of experience.

Every time I look back on my life, I come across events that I still can't believe. Like time spent with loved ones. The first person I met was supposed to be my short-term partner or someone to spend the year of her life with. It was raining heavily and it was gloomy, but I felt that the sun was shining the brightest on this day. I remember the colors of the sky, and the cars and buildings, when they were more alive than they are now.
The office, which I pass many times a day, was where I spent most of my time. The previously skipped movie would be one of the best he's ever seen. My deepest secrets were kept by someone I thought was strange at first. The beauty and tragedy of life is that it forces you to experience something no one else can share with you. From the unforgettable days of the rest of your life, you will be amazed at the uniqueness of the moment.
I can understand what the other person wants to say, but did you feel it?
