Chittagong War Cemetery's another name is Chittagong Commonwealth War Cemetery. It is basically a tomb constructed by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. This cemetery was established by the British army after World War II, organized from 1939 to 1945. During World War II, The 14th Infantry Force of the British Army took training in Chittagong and started the 152nd General Hospital for the treatment of injured soldiers in the war. The activities of this hospital were started from December 1944 to October 1945. A total of 400 fighter were buried here who are died in the condition of treatment of this hospital or died in the battlefield. Majority of them were buried and the army who were killed in the battle of Lussai hills in Assam's Seven Sisters of neighboring India. The purpose of this Cemetery was to honor the soldiers who were killed in World War II. After the end of World War II, the dead body of the soldiers who were killed in World War II was buried with the death of many more temporary cemetery in this war symmetry.
