Metal Roofs
A few days ago we had a some drops of water inside the house from the rain, bugger. This meant that someone was going up on the roof to apply sealant to various areas. I could have just done the suspect areas but I would rather not be going back up again for the same reason.
As I had decided to do a lot of small areas I didn't want to use lots and lots of tubes of sealant in a caulking gun. Not to mention my forearms would have been sore by the end. This meant getting a "bucket" of sealant, below is what I settled on, not your average silicone. I have used Sika sealants in the past and will use them again.
Expensive stuff, but it is very, very thick and the bucket is heavy.
Feels like I had a work out today, move two steps, move the bucket, either squat down or stretch out with the brush to apply a coat, repeat the process. After about two and a bit hours I was done, and glad to be able to stand up straight again.
A section of roof after the sealant has been applied to every fastener, penetration, or suspect area.
