What metal fan hasn't listened to Lamb of God? I don't think such a person exists, if they do then they probably need a double kick to the gut.
I remember exactly where I was when I first heard Lamb of God. It was on a burnt CD and I was with my roommates in our garage-converted-into-a-bedroom that we partied in. We called that room the Jungle because that's where we did our drinking and tokin' and when people came over there was plenty of room because it used to be a 2 1/2 car garage. We had this huge stereo system that was made up of like 8 or 10 different speakers all wired redneck style and duct taped and spray painted. But that was the best home music set up I had ever heard.
Anyway.
Omerta came on and we were all shootin' the shit and drinking and having a good time and the three or four of us that were down there just stopped. It's like someone pushed pause on our conversation. That night I sold my soul for 30 pieces of silver to the heavy metal gods. The next day I bought the CD and that same CD is sill in my car. I still use and buy CDs, though digital is starting to take over for me =)
Cool cover art but nothing to write home about. There really isn't much downside to Lamb of God. And they are one of the few bands that has had all members stay together since I've been listening to them.
I'll recommend a few songs here but you can be entertained by listing to the whole albums. Ashes of the Wake and Sacrament are my personal favorites.
