This is the final book of the Metro trilogy released in 2035 and was the foundation of the video game Metro: Exodus (at least it was inspired by the book, the book takes place in the metro but exodus goes beyond the metro). The main character is Artyom Andreevich, a 27yo man from Exhibition station (VDNKh in games) who has an obsession in finding a society outside of the metro, refusing to believe the metro is the last human civilisation left. The book explores the darkness of a post apocalyptic world, from denying basic morals all the way to exploring the story behind the side characters even if they’re just in one scene. Dmitry goes all out in his finale and gives closure to the acclaimed story. However the ending wasnt that satisfying the book is a good read.
