Finally the most awaited result is declared by Thiel Foundation and Robert Habermeier, a Polkadot developer wins this prestigious fellowship for their research in Block chain.
Theil foundation was founded by PayPal co-founder and Bitcoin bull Peter Theil.
Theil foundation distributed this fellowship to Blockchain/Crypto related researcher/entrepreneurs under age group 23, and winner is awarded by $100,000 over the period of two years to continue his research.
Thiel foundation encourages its fellow for better research in field of Block chain technology.
The famous Researcher and founder of Ethereum Vitalik Butarin was also the winner of this fellowship in year 2013
During the declaration of winner Allyson Dias, director of Thiel Foundation Fellowship, said, "College is not for everyone, and it certainly is not for everyone fresh out of highschool. Young people , who have keen desire to learn best by doing things in the real world."
Total 20 scholars were shortlisted for this Fellowship this year and only four of then were working with block chain.
Axel Ericsson (Stockholm, founder of Vest), Aparna Krishnan (India, co-founder of Mechanism Labs), Deniel Ternyak (founder of MyCrypto) and Robert Habermeier ( working with PolkaDot).
Robert is the part of- Polkadot, a Parity Project which is developing a heterogenous multi-chain technology, which is hoping to solve the issuues, such as scalability, security, interoperability and more.
