There is an allegations on reliance Jio that they are importing their 4G Feature phone from China from another route of Indonesia to enjoy 0% custom duty
FULL STORY IS
Reliance move to fully assembled devices from China traveling through the countries from which India has free trade pact. This will harm the government make in India programme.
India for fully built mobile phone shipped from other countries like China, south Korea etc for this government impose 20% basic custom duty. This act of Reliance Jio will harm the revenue of our country.
The upgraded Jio phone 2 priced at ₹2999, which is available from August 15. Earlier Ambani announced that they will sold there 4G feature phone for ₹501 in exchange for any feature phone from July 21.
Reliance spokes person said they manufacturers Jio phone 2 in India also. They will offer feature phone much lower as compared to other business ventures like Carbonn, Lava, Jiui mobiles and many other local brands.
This may huge impact on other indian brands, due to uncompetitive and unviable overnight they will shut down there manufacturing and sale operations
