According to latest report from research firm IDC on the global smartphone shipment for the second quarter of 2018, China-based HUAWEI took the second-place spot from APPLE in a tightening global smartphone during the second quarter of this year, according to figures released Tuesday by International Data Corporation.
The estimated rise in market share comes as a slowdown in the world's biggest smartphone market, China, eased. Huawei has also managed to get ahead of rivals by selling more feature-packed phones, analysts said.
