•Babies of mothers who do not get prenatal are three times more likely to have low birth weight
•Five times more likely to die than those born to mothers who get care
•Healthcare professionals can spot health problems early when they see mothers regularly
•This allows doctors to treat them early
Early treatments can cure many problems and prevent others

1) Barangay Health Centers
2) Main Health Center
3) Private Clinics
PRENATAL ACTIVITIES :
•PHYSICAL EXAMINATION – include the following information:
1) Collection of (mothers) medical history
2) Checking mothers (BP)blood pressure
3) Mothers height and weight
4) Pelvic examination
5) Fetal heart monitoring
6) Mothers blood and urine test
7) Leopold’s maneuver
8) Provision of micronutrient supplementation
9) Tetanus Toxoid Immunization
DANGER SIGNS TO WATCH OUT FOR
DURING PREGNANCY:
•DIFFICULTY IN URINATION
•LEAKING BAG OF WATER OR RUPTURE OF BOW.
•SEIZURE OR LOSS OF CONSCIOUSNESS
•WEAK OR NO FETAL MOVEMENT( less than 10 fetal movements in 12 hours or in the 4th or 5th month of gestation)
