Saygin Yalcin (in Turkish Saygın Yalçın,born in Bremen, Germany on 14 May 1985) is a German entrepreneur and businessman of Turkish origin. Based in Dubai, his businesses are mainly in marketing and online merchandising
He first started business in Germany. Later he moved to United Arab Emirates founding Sukar.com. After selling it to souq.com, he later established sellanycar.com
He was also Advisory Board Member & Academic Lecturer of Entrepreneurship at the Canadian University of Dubai.
In a cover story, Arabian Business counts him as 1 of the most successful entrepreneurs to call Dubai home. During the World Government Summit, HH Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed, Minister of Interior of the UAE, presented Saygin as an inspiring story for the country, in the presence of world leaders, incl. HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
He was referred to as “the region’s online business guru” by the National newspaper in the UAE, while Fortune magazine (mag) named him in the 40 under 40 list, as one of the most influential young people in business.
In 2011, Saygin has been awarded as one of the United Arab Emirates’ Hot 100 personalities and, in 2012, nominated for the country’s “Personality of the Year” award by ITP, the UAE’s largest publishing group.
In May 2013, Saygin was referred to as "the region's online business guru" by the National newspaper and as an opinion leader in the areas of Entrepreneurship and Online Business in the Middle East and beyond.
Saygin has also been active in promoting Entrepreneurship and early-stage venture capital activities in the UAE.
Saygin holds an international master’s degree in business administration and economics, having studied at top business schools in Germany (WHU), the USA (USC) and Mexico (ITAM).
