For many years researches were going on to make a wearable device that could harvest energy from your body or arm. Also, the device gets power through the motion of our body. Finally, a wearable energy harvesting device has been built by researchers that could generate energy from the swing of an arm while walking or jogging.
Pennsylvania state university and the University of Utah reported the device of the size of a wristwatch that can generate enough power to run a health monitoring system, this device could run to times better than the previously reported devices.
In the future, these types of devices could reduce the use of rechargeable batteries and supercapacitor, the labour cost of replacing batteries when they fail to perform and keep these batteries away from landfills.
Many types of research are still going on to enhance its performance and double power output.
Thank you.
