I cannot believe this. 1000 followers, how and when did that happen? Wow, and also thank you! All of you.
I joined Steemit in late June 2017. I remember a big confusion... I had major problems to format my posts I wanted them. I had no idea about how to do that. I also found it's rather nice too, just like Instagram, be able to post some photos. But I quickly realized that this was more like my regular blogging on kerlundphoto where I usually tell a story to my photos. The result from beginning that kind of blogging on Steemit was that I soon ended my updates on kerlundphoto. I was absorbed by Steemit.
Steemit art community has encouraged me to develop and use my skills from my education and earlier experience to create digital artwork. My focus is now both photos and digital art, I enjoy this a lot.
Many celebrate their milestones creating a contest or similar. At this moment I have no idea what to do a contest about, sorry, it's just empty... But I will try to make a contribution to my greatest experiences on Steemit, the projects I participate in. Lots of love to all of you! And I give you a rose in the end of this post <3
Minnow Support Project (MSP)
A few week after I joined Steemit I run into an article about MSP and PALnet, unfortunately, I can't remember who wrote it. But I realized this would be a great way for me to get to know more Steemians and to help myself grow.
My personal experience of MSP and PALnet (Discord channel) can be described like this:
I felt welcomed from day 1.
MSP is crowded with nice, kind, helpful, funny and loveable people.
I have been personally involved with supporting people, I have been helped.
I have learned a lot!
I could not have been doing this great on Steemit without MSP!
I have spent several hours on PALnet chatting with people. Time flies when you are having fun!
Minnows Accelerate Project (MAP)
In early August I found MAP. MAP is holding a contest where the winner is voted on according to his or her contents quality. I was participating in MAP round 7 as far as I can remember and I got a second place out of six. I met many nice people in MAP-room on Discord.
Steemsugars
In December I joined another great team/project called Steemsugars. The goal of this project is to get more women on Steemit and in crypto. Read more in this post
Here I have met more fantastic Steemians.
Humans of Steemit
I recently chose to become an ambassador for , a project with the purpose to give us a possibility to learn more about fellow Steemians. There is a lot of nice and interesting humans on this platform and I think it's fantastic to get to know them better. Read more about the project in this post As an ambassador my mission is to try to find more people to highlight in posts from
.
Here you can read more about me as an ambassador: post 1, by , post 2, by

As you might notice a huge part of my time on Steemit is spent with other Steemians, and that is a fantastic thing with Steemit: the awesome people! I think it's great to combine technology and community, it brings great value to both.
Personal values
In all these projects and chat rooms and when I read posts and curate posts and so on I try to stick to my personal values. I try to live by the device: behave like you want others to behave. Be a good role model.
My idea of how to be a "good Steemian", is the same as how to be a "good fellow human".
- Be honest!
- Be nice to people!
- Never try to use someone's goodness for your own purpose!
- Help whenever you get a chance!
- Always try your best to bring value to the community and platform. In your content and in your communication.
- Be thankful if someone leaves you feedback or suggestions how to improve something.
Thank you <3
Thank you for reading all this, and thank you for being a fellow Steemian and maybe one of my 1000 followers.
I hope you are enjoying Steemit as much as I do.
