After 124 days of being a member of this platform, I'm finally able to gather 500 followers! If you are one them, thank you very much!
If not? Follow me, maybe?
I also managed to increase my reputation to 54 and my SP to 211 and my estimated account value is now a whopping $195!
Not big enough? Considering that I'm doing this in between several tasks, or while commuting from Makati to Quezon city or vice versa, or as a way to distract myself from dismal thoughts I gather from the rest of the web (ex: facebook, twitter, MSM, etc.), I'll gladly take those 211 SP or $195 anytime! For me it's huge and there are more.
Aside from the rewards I get, both liquid and Steem Power, I were fortunate enough to meet a lot of people who became part of my daily grind. We hangout in discord. And by hangout, I mean that we are having a good time: we play games, sing along, share secrets, make fun of/with each other, listen to love advices, and even do ninja moves in the sidelines.
Important sidenote: If you are a Filipino, an expat living in the Philippines, or care about the Philippines and willing to make a blood oath and not yet part of Steemit Philippines Discord chat, take the red pill now and join the fun by clicking below:
Going back to the people I met, one of them was a little crazy enough to nominate me to the core members of to be a core member of its Metro Manila arm, the
. And what a core, they are even crazier enough to accept me!
So it's official, I became a part of something bigger, something more meaningful, and something more enjoyable. Yeah right!
Here is SteemPH Manila's Statement of Direction:

Seriously.
I have plans on how to help and contribute in whatever ways I can to meet the goals of this group not only for Steemit Philippines but also for the growth of Steemit and Steem. I'm not really sure if I can attend some of the events but I will help in any way I can. Anyway, I intend to focus my efforts on the following:
Promotion - While there is strong presence of Filipinos here in steemit, this platform is still relatively unknown to Filipinos. I intend to write posts promoting steemit that I will begin to share to my friends even if I am not really that excited to invite them over. Hopefully, I can convince some of them to move here.
Support - I don't have much voting power but I began upvoting posts in #philippines especially from new users to show support. I also ask them to join in our discord server so people can answer them if they have questions. If I can, I answer some inquiries myself.
User Retention - I don't have the numbers but I believe that many users do not remain here for one reason or another. If it's hard to invite them, shouldn't we help to make them stay?
Looking back, I was thankful that I found Steemit and its wonderful, crazy people.
I only hope that I can make an impact here. Thank you and
, let's do this!
