Then a voice called from somewhere deep within the corner of his mind. It said, "Open up your mind!"
He quickly asked a question, "Why would I do that?"
From his view point: "Life is too demanding to inspire the strength for one to keep living; oh nothing can ever work out; the world is wicked and unjust; evil will continue to flourish; and..."
"Say no more", said the calm Voice to him. "What do you know of life?" asked the Voice.
He looked puzzled and confused, not knowing if this is an insult or a question that he ought to search the universe for the answer.
The calm Voice suddenly turned to become a loud shout, aiming to deafen him - he fell on his face. And the Voice took charge of the atmosphere:
"Open up your mind I say!
For therein lies all your desires.
Open up your mind, and you will know the way to victory.
The conquered and the vanquished never opened up their minds;
The beaten and the hopeless still refused access to their minds;
Rigidity still ruled the gate of their minds, the poor.
Open up your mind and that is where you find all your answers."
The boy knew then that the Voice was right.
