This is 2B2T.
2B2T is the most interesting Minecraft server in the world. It has been running mostly continuously since 2010. It's the oldest near-continuous server in the world, with an astonishing amount of history.
This is Minecraft at its most raw.
2builders2tools is a minecraft server with the goal to never reset the world in a free for all no rules pvp environment, with very little modification to the vanilla survival gamemode. The world is 82 months old, with a size of 2798 GBs and over 187505 players visiting at least once. The IP to connect is 2b2t.org

Here's a video from the largest and most recent war on 2b2t, which started last year, that gives a sense of what this server is about.
Anarchy, Minecraft and Steem
I find 2b2t fascinating as it is it's own self contained, enormous world. It's also an experiment in human nature and in anarchy within the context of a game world. 2b2t is a horrific mess at first look, yet you will find some of the most amazing builds on that server as well, if you're willing to search far and wide enough for them. It's like an experiment in what happens when property rights are impossible to secure, because nobody can be online 24/7 to protect their property. Instead the only way to do that is to build as remotely as possible, while allowing very few people with knowledge your location (effectively you must practice OPSEC just to keep builds from being destroyed).
Steem is also kind of a social experiment. It is one of the first online networks that has a more or less functional reputation economy. There is little in the way of social consequences in 2b2t. Even if you ruin your reputation among your peers, it is no big deal to start again under an entirely new account, going back to the same location. This is why I've set up a Minecraft server for Steem users. It is a variation on the same experiment that 2b2t can be seen as. Hope to see you join!
