As a member of the australian mining community and a supplier of innovative products I am continually sickened by the extreme level of hypocrisy in the major mining companies.
They demand savings, they set standards for efficiency and even worse they tell the media that they are excelling in this area.
What a complete load of ROT.
I can supply a product at the same or lower capital outlay as a competitor, but I can slash energy usage by near 50% and quadruple the time between maintenance periods. But because some old fart in an office has been doing something his way for 20years, smart players have no chance of breaking the mold and getting real savings into the industry.
