People get upset about the "open carry" protests, but half the city isn't burnt down and looted when it's over. This is also exactly why we have gun rights. Not for hunting, but to protect us from an overbearing government!
This is why gun rights matter!
This is why free speech matters!
This is why all lives matter!
The founding fathers understood this. They put several checks and balances into our system of governance to protect WE THE PEOPLE. They understood when the government grew out of control, the people needed the ability to rise up and stand against the tyranny of a government that had lost its way.
Many people are unhappy with the direction the US has been heading in. I'm not talking left vs right politics. I'm talking about the erosion of liberties, warrantless surveillance, police brutality, unfair laws, income inequality and so on. These are not left vs right problems, these are American problems that affect us all.
People have been upset for a very long time, but they've been complacent & comfortable. What we're beginning to see now is what happens when the citizens lose that level of comfort.
This is what happens when entertainment and other distractions are stripped away. This is what happens when people are ready, willing and able to work but are told they're not allowed. AND THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN POLICE BRUTALITY AND BIG GOVERNMENT GROW OUT OF CONTROL!
I've got a terrible feeling what we're witnessing now in places like Michigan, Minneapolis, and several other cities throughout the country, is only the beginning. Seriously, if you're not mad, you're just not paying attention! Shit is about to get real!
