It is very nice to be part of the Open Canvas Project here in Fort Lauderdale! All the artists were at the location on Saturday, working on their murals and meeting each other. I want to share some pictures and a video of the process...
The mural is a celebration of life. I'm celebrating the life of all the newborns that come to this world under extreme circumstances, some are born in war zones, other are born in extreme poverty and their families have no water or electricity.
Here I am with brazilian artist Fabio Onrack, one of the artists of the project, and his friends!
Kelcie Mcquaid is lovely, she is the curator of the project.
George works with the city of Fort Lauderdale and helps organize all the project together. Evan is the founder of Choose954 and is always supporting local artists.
And here we are, Connie Mcknight and I enjoying a selfie. One part of Connie's mural is a community mural. She invites the viewers to paint a fish on it if they want to. Beautiful idea! We are all together, in the big ocean! Some minnows, others dolphins and others whales...but at the end...all together, helping each other in the big ocean. :)
So I'll continue with the mural and keep you posted! :)!
