Minnow University // Patience
I made a post about a month ago about realistic expectations. I think it's a topic that needs to keep being addressed as we always have new users joining.
Plus, I've been seeing a lot of comments lately on Steemit and in Discord with people being unhappy with their post payouts.
So, as always, I hope that this posts finds the Steemians who need to see it the most.
Isa's Story Time - Prepare yourselves for the best analogy in existence...or the worst...who's to say?
Let's say you just landed an internship at an Advertising Agency.
Nobody knows you at this firm so it takes some time to build relationships with your co-workers and to gain recognition for all of your hard work from your managers and the partners of the firm.
As time goes on your relationships grow stronger with your co-workers and your managers, and you are actually building friendships as well.
People at the firm are also starting to appreciate the high quality work that you produce as well as the consistency with which you produce it.
Eventually, you are offered a position at the firm.
So, you started out with nothing, but now you have a paying job and the recognition and appreciation from your work community.
You've also made some great friendships along the way!
Now, just like with any job, you will have good days and you will have bad days.
Sometimes the work you produce doesn't go over well, but you just keep pushing through and focusing on consistently creating high quality work and in time you will succeed.
Now, let's say someone else started as an intern at the same time you did, but they are either very well known or they happen to have several friends who are managers at the company.
This person may move up in the company much faster than you.
That's just life.
Another situation where someone may move up more quickly is if that person is excellent at networking and creating positive community initiatives.
The good news is that you can actually do the same thing if you choose to!
So what are you trying to say Isaria???
In most careers, you need to work your way up the ladder to success.
Steemit is no different.
Stay the course, keep creating high quality content on a consistent basis, network and build friendships by leaving meaningful comments and being part of the discord communities....and you will succeed.
It just takes time.... so be patient.
