My very specific and ridiculous fear is Macro-Bug-Judgment Phobia. It’s the constant, irrational anxiety that while I’m trying to get the perfect macro shot of an insect, the bug is actually judging my photography skills from behind the lens.
I live in fear that one day, a grasshopper will look directly into my camera, tap its tiny leg, and whisper, Your aperture is too wide and your focus is soft, amateur, before hopping away in total disappointment.
What triggers it? Any time an insect stays perfectly still for a photo. I’m convinced they aren't actually resting, they are just posing like supermodels and waiting for their modeling fee in high-quality organic leaf juice. If I don't deliver a 10/10 photo, I’m terrified they’ll find a way to crawl out of my phone screen at 3 AM and demand the RAW files. lol🤤😃😜
