Well here we are, I'd like to welcome everyone to liberal America..
In a sign of the times it was just announced that the Miss America pageant will no longer feature the swimsuit portion of it's contest anymore.
Organizers say they will no longer judge women on their "looks" but I say what's the point?
I mean wasn't the contest based on looks to begin with?..now instead of the scantily clad section of the pageant with beautiful women in swimsuits, contestants will now have an interactive questioning session with the judges to highlight their "skills"
Yawn..
Miss America began as a bathing beautys contest over 100 years ago in Atlantic City. In a sign of the times organizers caved under pressure from some that say the swimsuit portion of the show objectifies women.
Fun wreckers!!!
I say what's wrong or what shame does a woman share by looking good in a swimsuit?
If we're looking for smart women or people to admire as role models we would have to have a better pool of candidates somewhere to choose from than a beauty pageant wouldn't we?
If the judges are looking for skills we already have that show, it's called America's Got Talent..
So should we frown on women that look good in a swimsuit? Should a beauty contest not judge a person on thier beauty but by what's between their ears?
It's all really confusing but one things for sure, they won't have watching their show anymore, besides the swimsuit portion was the best part imo, up there with the evening gown part that they're also axing..
Honestly how many people really care about the manufactured statements that the contestants recite when asked simple questions by the panel? Thats clearly more phoney than silicone breast implants or a butt injection, but these are weird times.
I predict bathing suits, short skirts and yoga pants will all soon be illegal in America at this rate. Thanks liberals!
I'm also sure ratings for the show have been in decline over the years but this isn't gonna help. They may as well broadcast the show on the radio now because if looks don't matter why are we looking at them? Hello?
Thanks for reading and I'd love to hear your opinion in the comments!
